Units from Stations 36, 35, and 19 were dispatched at 0233 hrs this morning for a garage fire at 108 Heather Glen Drive, just minutes after clearing a small fire in Red Lion Boro. Rescue 36 arrived quickly with fire showing from sides A and C. Crews immediately went to work placing handlines as Engine 35-1 secured a plug, and Truck 19 opened the roof of the story and a half rancher style duplex. Crews encountered heavy extension into void spaces between the first and second floors, requiring additional manpower and bringing the second and third alarms to the scene. All occupants of the residence escaped without injury. Crews remained on scene until 0610 hrs for extinguishment and overhaul. Thanks to the crew from Rescue 39 (New Bridgeville) for filling in Station 36.

Units: 36, MICU 36, 37, 35, 34, 19, MICU 19, 89, and RIT 1
